CAT Communications Solutions
MCS had the opportunity to provide communications infrastructure solutions for the 50th Space Wing Crisis Action Team Facility of Colorado.
For this project, MCS worked with CAT of Colorado by creating a new communications infrastructure for the facility. This was accomplished with cabling solutions, fiber installations, and other communication hardware installs.
What is the 50th Space Wing?
The 50th Space Wing is a component of Air Force Space Command. It is responsible for the operations and support of more than 150 Department of Defense satellites. (50TH SPACE WING, SCHRIEVER AFB)
Our Role
For the 50th Space Wing, MCS got to take part in the communications infrastructure for CAT. Our team delivered many communication solutions as part of their new infrastructure. For instance, we incorporated NIPRNet, SIPRNet, Video Teleconferencing (VTC), and Phone services in the new facility.
Additionally, the build included needs for micron OM3 fiber installations and CAT5e copper cable. To clarify, these solutions allowed us to include active use of the CAT workstations, Comm room connections, and ViPER phones. Moreover, we also created this solution to include Cisco Network and VTC equipment.
In conclusion, we successfully integrated the updated communications solutions with the existing architecture. Thus, we provided a seamless and innovative solution for the CAT team and their needs.
