MCS OF TAMPA RECEIVES $996,000 FROM JACKSONVILLE PORT AUTHORITY FOR MASS NOTIFICATION SYSTEM

TAMPA, FL, January 31, 2012 –Mission Critical Solutions (MCS of Tampa), a national communications and information technology company, has received a $996,000 order to design a Mass Notification System (MNS) for the Jacksonville Port Authority (JAXPORT). The MNS will provide real-time, adaptable information to all personnel on the property and in the immediate vicinity, during emergency situations.

MCS of Tampa will integrate state-of-the-art, scenario-driven MNS control along with a full-coverage, outdoor High Power Speaker Array (HPSA) giant voice annunciation, high visibility outdoor Dynamic Messaging Signage (DMS) and Network-centric, enterprise-class electronic alerting. MCS also provides an unparalleled flexibility by utilizing JAXPORT’s existing IP network for rapid standards-based communications, extensive reach and cost effectiveness. By providing this solution, it will unify all communications channels and devices, including networked computers, telephones, HPSAs, DMS, PDAs, pagers, and email.

MCS of Tampa has assembled a team with superior MNS, maritime, and port facility experience that includes: AtHoc, Jacksonville Sound & Communications, ATI Systems, and Vanguard Electrical Contractors.

“We are excited about the opportunity to expand our Port Authority MNS capabilities to all US based Port Authorities. Over the next few months, we will be offering webinars and whitepapers on our website, regarding MNS and government funding to Port Authorities throughout the US. This is a great opportunity for us and our partners to showcase our converged IP and MNS solutions” Nicole Ploehn, Marketing Manager, MCS of Tampa.

Team MCS has designed, built, and delivered many Mass Notification Systems for the U.S. Military, federal agencies, state and local governments, including other port authorities.
